Restore America March
Organization Concept
Our organization, Restore America March, and this website, were inspired by our anthem song, See What You’ve Done To Our Flag, which is meant to serve as a tool for cohesion within the existing protest community.

Restore America March is not meant to compete with other protest organizations. Rather, it’s meant to be complementary.
​
Our new organization holds with principles that generally align with the other organizations but with certain key elements more sharply defined:
​
NONPARTISAN
We explicitly highlight this key point, which is not sharply enough emphasized by other groups.
Creating a bigger tent is essential in order to provide a home for those who may not feel comfortable with existing protest movements that mainly consist of Democrats and Progressives, as well as others who also do not feel comfortable with those two affiliations but still want their voices to be heard.

Restore America March is meant to appeal to all who may feel left out, especially Republicans who no longer want to support their party, feeling that it has been hijacked. And of course, Independents of all types.

TIMING AND FOCUS
It is critically important to get this right. Our organization will first press for laser focus on only one key goal: Establishing a broad front of allies.
​
Allies must be in agreement that our immediate main collective concern will be to push back against an administration that has, in so many ways, taken our country in wrong directions.
​
Accordingly, for now, we must decide to hold back from too much focus on specific issues, of which there are literally scores, with more added daily, even hourly. We must first preserve singular focus on building our cohesive front of mutually supportive allies.
​
Once this first preparatory stage is achieved, establishment of this cohesive front, readiness for the second stage will take priority: Figuring out the best strategies and tactics to achieve our shared goal of dislodging the current administration from power using only traditionally acceptable political tools. We have to fight fair and clean or we will be no better than they are.
​
Our organization is not meant to compete with or replace existing protest organizations like Indivisible, 50-50-1 or No Kings.
​
As a new junior organization, Restore America March is intended to be an organization that is complementary to all the other organizations.
​
Our members will show up at all the same protest events.
​
We will welcome members of other organizations to join us too, and we as individuals, can also join them. All of us jointly dedicated to enlarging, as much as possible, our collective base. Symbolically, our T-shirts will be purple, a fusion of red and blue. Purple signifies nonpartisan. Nonpartisan is not just a word. We mean it.
Metrics
The only metrics that mean anything to this administration are three numbers:

1) Polls
Credible polls that register a declining percentage of administration approval. Polls that show approvals descending below 35% become unignorable. Each additional point below 35% will force the administration to rethink wrong-headed policy positions because of anticipated negative consequences in the coming mid-terms. Worry about poll numbers becomes one of the few things that can prevent more damages inflicted on our country before the mid-term elections.

2) Voting by Republican Members of Congress
We know most Republican Members of Congress are now motivated primarily by fear of the president. But their universal top fear, which terrifies them the most, is of not being re-elected.
Which terror wins?
Right now, it’s fear of the president.
When poll numbers and protest crowd sizes reach certain key levels, even dedicated MAGA Congressional Members will be forced to think about their personal electoral survival.
Congressional votes will begin to change for the better, even before the mid-terms, because of this building pressure, resulting in more respect for traditional limits and guardrails, which can mitigate this administration’s worst tendencies.

3) Crowd Sizes at Protest Events
Estimates that are indisputable and credible. Numbers will speak for themselves and cannot be successfully hidden or countered by unbelievable denials.
